The Age-Friendly Club is a student-led club that aims to promote intergenerational connections, understanding, and support. The club provides a platform for students to engage with older adults, learn from their experiences, and contribute to their well-being.
To create a society where people of all ages can live, learn, and thrive together, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and mutual support.
To empower students to become agents of positive change, promoting age-friendly values, and building bridges between generations through education, advocacy, and community service.
- The objectives of Age friendly club is:
- Intergenerational Connection: Facilitate meaningful interactions between students and older adults through regular events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
- Age-Friendly Awareness: Educate students about age-related issues, promoting empathy, understanding, and inclusivity.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with local organizations, senior centers, and healthcare providers to support older adults and promote age-friendly initiatives.
- Leadership Development: Provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, take ownership of projects, and become advocates for age-friendly causes.
- Research and Advocacy: Conduct research on age-related issues, gather data, and advocate for policies and practices that support older adults and promote age-friendly communities.

- Thozhan 2024: Distributed Onam kits to needy families, spreading festive joy.
- Campus Collection Drive: Partnered with Goonj NGO to collect clothes and essentials for the underprivileged.
- Reach Every Child Initiative: Conducted monthly visits to a tribal settlement to provide education and exposure.
